    The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) is seeking a Director, Business Support.

    The Director Business Support will lead a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in the areas of risk management, security and asset management, procurement and contracting, facilities and accommodation to deliver high-level strategic advice to stakeholders.

    As the Tribunal's Chief Risk Officer, you will provide strategic advice to the Registrar and the President, the Senior Executive Group and the Tribunal Leadership Group on enterprise risks, oversee the Tribunal's Risk Management Framework and foster a positive risk culture.

    The annual salary for the position is from $135,732 to $154,312 plus 15.4% superannuation.

    Strategic and operational advice:

    Provide high level strategic advice to senior management, and day-to-day operational advice and assistance to managers on a range of matters including procurement and contracting, risk management, facilities and accommodation, security and asset management.


    Risk management:

    Oversee the AAT's risk management framework in line with the requirements of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy, including monitoring and reviewing risk management policies and procedures, communicating and consulting about risk, developing the AAT's risk capability, and fostering a positive risk culture.


    Security:

    Lead the implementation of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) in collaboration with the Chief Corporate & Financial Officer (Chief Security Officer), including developing and implementing a security plan to manage the AAT's security risks and fostering a positive security culture to realise optimal security maturity.


    Strategic procurement:

    Ensure a strategic approach to the procurement of goods and services aligned with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules to enhance value for money and efficiency within the AAT, including developing and maintaining procurement plans and clear and easy to use policies, procedures and templates, and overseeing procurement processes and contract management.


    Facilities and accommodation:

    Oversee the management of the AAT's facilities and accommodation by effectively managing facilities budgets and routine maintenance, overseeing asset management, responding to emergencies, managing physical security and risks.


    People management:

    Lead, coach and professionally develop direct reports, and plan and oversee workforce and people management within the work area, ensuring effective resourcing within budget; a diverse, inclusive and supportive culture; high performance; and adherence to legislation, instruments and policies.
