  • The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a skilled Executive Assistant (EA), to work part-time in a job share arrangement, to support the Group Executive (GE) Enterprise Services Group (ESG), SES Band 2. The successful candidate will be able to work 2.5-3 days per week, Wednesday-Friday.

    The work within ESG is very diverse, designing and delivering integrated enterprise-wide solutions to ensure the Bureau delivers outcomes to its customers and stakeholders, and enabling the Bureau to govern and manage its business well. ESG partners with business areas to align its work with the Bureau's transformation activities.

    At an APS 5 level, the EA has a range of duties and activities to support the GE ESG, as well as assisting to ensure the GE ESG office is managed effectively. Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing high-level executive and administrative support, managing diaries, planning and booking travel, coordinating and prioritising office correspondence, managing and maintaining the GE ESG's inbox, and undertaking financial management activities, including credit card acquittals and invoice processing.

    The GE ESG Office is a fast-paced environment where things can change quickly, and you will need to be flexible and agile in supporting the GE ESG Office. A high level of initiative and common-sense is required, along with excellent organisational skills and strong relationship skills. The role also requires a high degree of professionalism, judgement, and discretion.

    Strong relationship skills are critical, as you will liaise with diverse teams across ESG and the wider organisation, and with high-profile external stakeholders. You will also work closely with other EAs and Executive Officers across ESG and the Bureau.
