    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a Medical Receptionist to work at our Specialist Centre in North Melbourne. As the face of our organisation you will deliver on the highest standards of services to our patients, referrers and community.

    Reporting to the site Administration Supervisor your responsibilities will include:


    • Representing Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.

    • Answering the telephone and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner

    • Make a patient bookings while maximising appointment slots

    • Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.

    • Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

    ABOUT YOU


    • Previous medical receptionist experience desired not essential

    • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy

    • Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

    • Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system

    • EFTPOS and cash handling skills

    • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
