    Job Description:

    We are seeking an Intake Officer to join our team in Teneriffe. In this dynamic role, you will coordinate and complete participant intakes within designated Employment Service Areas, providing a pathway to open employment for people with disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and coordinate the intake of all participants.
    • Conduct assessments of participants' needs and suitability for services, ensuring eligibility requirements are met.
    • Ensure referrals and commencements meet Disability Support Services (DSS) contractual obligations.
    • Develop initial Job Plans, addressing barriers to employment and ensuring positive outcomes for participants.
    • Maintain accurate records, software, and reporting to ensure compliance with funding bodies.
    • Liaise with schools to ensure intakes meet eligibility requirements and build relationships for referrals.
    • Establish positive networks and relationships with disability employment organisations.

    Selection Criteria:

    • Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities in a similar role.
    • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and provide solutions to complex problems.
    • Working knowledge of Disability Employment Services (DES) Eligibility Criteria.
    • Effective communication, networking, and rapport-building skills.
    • Preferred experience with the intake process and matching to employment staff.
    • 'Can-do' attitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to build partnerships with local businesses.
    • A valid C class driving license.
    • Blue card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (we can assist with obtaining).
