This role sits within the DTA's Business Services Team and is part of DTA's Corporate Branch.

The Business Services team operates under broad direction of Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for managing the development and delivery of Records management, IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Property Services.

Our team is small and dynamic, creating a great environment to work across projects and develop and enhance your skills.

The key duties of the position include

The Assistant Director will work closely with the DTA's Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer to develop the DTA's internal ICT strategy and direction in support of its ICT transformation program.

As an experienced strategist, you will have a proven track record in developing strategy that is well researched, reflects ICT needs and is practical.

You will engage with people across the DTA and other APS agencies to provide innovative, proactive, and timely advice, which improves how the DTA delivers ICT to its workforce.

This will be shaped by taking a Whole-of-Government perspective in thinking through strategic issues, research, and data analysis.
