- Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
- Participate in safety inspection, risk and investigation processes
- Provide expert advice and assessment on high-risk work activities
- Be actively involved in the Fortescue Contractor Management and contractor auditing process
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of health and Safety initiatives and promotional material
- Engage line leaders in promoting and leading a positive safety culture
- Actively participate in the implementation of the Fortescue Major Hazard Program
- Demonstrated substantial Safety Advisor experience in an operational environment, previous experience in the Drilling, Energy, Mining or Construction industry will be highly regarded
- Minimum Cert IV Occupational Health & Safety, iCAM Lead investigator and Safety Lead Auditor qualifications
- Experience in Risk Management and Contractor Management
- Demonstrated high motivation and output under minimal supervision
- An awareness of the WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (mines) Regulations
- Experience in procedural (safety) development, Data analysis, trending & reporting

Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
We are currently looking for a safety professional to join our Resource and Energy Team as a Safety Specialist. Your role will be to ensure leaders, team members and contractor partners are provided with coaching and mentoring to achieve confidence and competence in safety compliance, assurance activities and are proactive in identifying and managing risk.
As part of Fortescue's HSES team, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and auditing of Safety Management Systems to ensure continual improvement in a dynamic mining shutdown environment. Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, you will participate in the control of identified hazards and provide assistance in and guidance in incident investigations
