    About the Role:

    An exciting opportunity exists for a product centric Business Development – Smart Buildings to join our Sales team in NSW.

    Reporting to the Sales Manager - Technology, as a BD – Smart Buildings (Smart building refers to a range of technology solutions that are designed to make buildings more energy-efficient, comfortable, secure, and connected for their occupants) you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing key clients within the NSW market, developing and nurturing client relationships and contributing to our overall success.

    In this role, you will play an integral part in helping the sales team implement long-term strategic activities by engaging within the market to secure and promote the NHP Smart Building Solutions and grow market share.
    Key tasks & responsibilities include:

    • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities through research, market analysis and lead generation
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with specifiers and End users and tailoring solutions to meet their needs
    • Working with the various BD teams to collaborate across various buying channels (contractors, wholesalers) to nurture and secure project opportunities
    • Developing and executing strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and solutions to clients
    • Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals
    • Negotiation on quotations and associated systems and products
    • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
    • Providing regular reporting and analysis of business development activities and results

    PRODUCTS – Mainly Emergency & Exit Lights Monitoring System and Electric Vehicle Charging Load Management Systems. As well as Energy Management Systems, RCD Testing Systems & other National Construction Code (NCC) Section J8 Compliant Solutions.

    Ideally you will have / be:

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications
    • Electrical industry experience related to either a technical or commercial level
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task, identify growth opportunities, manage projects, and develop actionable plans
    • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Excellent organisation, presentation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
    • Experience in the lighting industry would be highly regarded
