    The City ofPerth's Media and Communications Unit is seeking anexperienced communications professional to develop, deliver andevaluate internal and external communications initiatives. As theCommunications Officer, you'll provide strategic andproactive communications advice in line with the City'svalues of commitment, teamwork, courage and respect.

    The idealcandidate will develop a constructive and engaging relationshipwith the City's leadership to gain an understanding ofopportunities and priorities within various business units anddevelop communication strategies that build awareness andengagement across a range of audiences, including the widerworkforce.

    Reporting tothe Media and Communications Lead, this position will support theCity by:

    • Developing andimplementing communications within a defined portfolio,targeted to internal and external stakeholders, to support thedelivery of the City's projects andinitiatives.
    • Providing advice tosenior personnel to identify communications needs and developappropriate content across multiple channels.
    • Owningthe development and publishing of the City's internalfocussed publications through quality, timely and relevantcontent including the delivery of weekly emails, monthlynewsletters and other CEO updates.
    • Consulting with staffacross the organisation to understand their communicationsrequirements and ongoing needs.

    In this role,you will have excellent written communication skills andstory-telling ability, along with effective relationship managementskills, including a demonstrated ability to develop strong workingrelationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of anorganisation.
