Permanent Part Time22.5 hours per week, days and hours of work are negotiableThis role will be based in Port Macquarie TareeHourly Rate 40.72 per hour - 45.26 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced First Nations Community Development Worker, who is passionate about providing effective support and services to the community. ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced First Nations Community Development Worker, to support and promote the overall operations of Interrelate by providing First Nation-specific information and advice to staff and management and developing networks with, and information to, First Nations communities and elders about Interrelate and post-separation services. Duties will include Assist First Nations people to access Interrelate services through, creating good working relationships, establishing referral pathways, developing innovative strategies, networking and promotion and enhancement of Interrelate Services.Provide culturally specific advice to Interrelate staff in the regionIdentify community needsEngage Human centered design practicesRecommend responses to benefit local First Nations communitiesOrganise group seminars, community events, forums, expo's and workshopsFacilitate Aboriginal Building Connections training for communityThis role will be primarily based in Port Macquarie and may be required to travel and work across multiple sites, including, Taree, as well as other locations to support the community needs in the Mid North Coast region. Due to the travel required for this role, where is pool car is not available it will require the use of your own personal vehicle, all kilometres will be reimbursed when using your own personal vehicle.
