Key Duties and Responsibilities DefiniteAnalyse test results and adjust design if requiredResolve all problems that may effect project quality completionDevelop new tools systems to enhance productionIdentify potential design improvementsResearch materials for future design opportunities and usageDevelop test prototypesPerform equipment system calculationsCommunicating Liaise with and provide accurate, timely and efficient technical support to the Operations DirectorLiaise with any consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the projectLiaise with the client and their representatives architects, engineers and surveyors , including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progressContribute to formal and informal project team meetings, take minutes, and ensure that identified action items are complete in a timely mannerPlanning and OrganisingAssist in the preparation, review and distribution of tender documentsObtain and collate quotations in line with Estimating Team proceduresPrepare and check project design, assessment calculations, qualities and drawings, ensuring the accuracy of calculationsInterpret construction drawings, study contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any taskManaging Information General Administration SupportMonitor and interpret the contract documents supplied by the client, consultant or architectAssist in resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may ariseEnsure document control processes are followedComplete quality records as per Operations Director directionHealth, Safety, Environment, QualityUphold a positive and proactive safety culture, and lead by example in all aspects of our businessStrive to exceed best practice, and instill this approach in personnel and subcontractorsStrive to protect the environment by upholding effective and efficient environmental and sustainable practices as part of everyday businessMeasure, monitor, analyse and improve productivity, processes and tasks to satisfy expectationsWork with enthusiasm, courtesy and intellect and have drive to surpass what has been achievedCore ValuesLeadershipSafetyEnvironment and SustainabilityIntegrityInnovationContinuous ImprovementMandatory Qualifications Experience Tertiary qualification in Mechanical EngineeringExcellent CAD, EPDM, and Microsoft Office skills, particularly excel and wordPersonal QualitiesExcellent written and verbal communicationHigh level of interpersonal skills to handle internal employee requests issuesHave analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various problems, prioritize work and meet deadlinesPossess a consultative rather than directive style and pride yourself on meeting commitments and accepting responsibilityOpen to new ideas and share knowledge for the good of the teamCommitment to develop Interpretation and understanding of drawings and specificationsHigh level understanding of company policies and proceduresDetailed understanding of roles within project teamAnalytical and problem solving skills hr
