Full time on-going position with an Accrued Day Off per month Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience with generous salary packaging available Dynamic role working with children with disabilities and developmental delays Nexus Primary Health supports people to fully participate within their community through the provision of appropriate wide-ranging support services throughout their life span. With a 40 year history, we are the go-to organisation for primary health information and person-centred services in the outer and rural north of Melbourne. We are currently recruiting for an AHA who is enthusiastic about working in a dynamic Primary Health setting in a Team which includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants. Based across all sites including Broadford, Wallan and Seymour. Let's talk about the role The AHA has a varied role - including under clinical supervision participating in Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy groups with children ages 1 to 17 years and assisting with the organisation of paediatric group programs. Clients are funded under many funding sources, including NDIS and Home and Community Care - Programs for Younger Persons. The AHA will also provide administrative support and will have the support of the other AHAs employed by Nexus. Let's talk about you You are qualified with a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance. You will need a current Working with Children Check and a Police Check and you will be checked against the Disability Employee Exclusion Scheme. Experience working with children with disabilities and developmental delays is highly regarded but not essential as you are a fast and enthusiastic learner. You are able to work with a client-centred, strengths-based approach to empower clients and are passionate about providing a quality service.
