About the role

Bunnings is re-imagining how it does Digital and will be focusing on developing an in-house Digital Team. This is a rare opportunity to be one of the first founding team members of the Bunnings Digital Delivery Team to shape our tech, how we work and team culture. As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of our front end products and services across our retails site in a cross functional team environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team which will make a significant contribution to the success of the team's objectives and culture combined with the opportunity to leverage your skills and experience to mentor junior team members and promote high standard technical and user experience outcomes.

  • Design, code, test and deploy the build and management of front end products
  • Support the implementation of the platform's technology strategy
  • Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers and engineers.
  • Effectively communicate your technical solutions and product ideas with the team
  • About you

    You enjoy working in an agile team, where iterative experimentation and data driven decisions with product and UX is valued. You look at tricky situations with a solution focused lens and have a willingness to continuously learn new technical skillsets and share amongst your team

  • Solid skills in building core web development technologies such as JavaScript/Typescript, React, HTML CSS
  • Passionate about maintainable, high quality, and performant codebase
  • Deep experience in design of high-performance, dynamic web-based products and services
  • Strong background in user interface development, providing high quality user experiences
