This role will be part of a highly technical engineering team responsible for architecting and delivering solutions.This role will be a unique blend of hands on delivery, solutions design and architecture. There are a number of technologies that we envision being part of our future, or valuable skills that will make understanding our existing architecture easier.These include Roles and Responsibilities Virtualization Design, Deploy, Install, Configure, Manage operations support experience Provisioning and cloning virtual machines and server appliances as needed. Maintaining and restoring virtual machine backups and snapshots. Performing upgrades and applying patches or firmware updates to the virtual infrastructure software or hardware. Providing support for server hardware failures and assist remotely with hardware replacement. Providing configuration management and security compliance for the virtual infrastructure software and hardware. Developing and updating standard operating procedures and documentation. Completing service requests or incidents tickets in support of the virtual infrastructure. Providing technical leadership and assume overall accountability for the successful management and implementation of projects. Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all virtual hardware, resources, systems and key processes. Design, deploy and maintain solutions for Cloud Migrations, Virtualisation, Networking, Servers, Storage and Backups Performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution. Developing scripts to gain efficiencies for reporting and automating repetitive tasks. Conducts system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for issues related to system software performance, availability and reliability, performs system maintenance and maintain current documentation. Windows systems installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, including Windows Server 2016 2019, as well as VMware ESX 6.x. Advance knowledge of Systems Hardware and Enterprise Level Systems infrastructure, different hardware architecture, roadmap and implementation Knowledge of datacentre operations, network technologies and industry standards and audit requirements Experience conceptualizing and architecting the target environment for Servers, Virtualization, Storage and Compute. Cisco UCS, VMware and Pure Storage integration Advanced experience of cloud services and concepts IaaS, SaaS, Azure, AWS Advanced experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD Qualifications Qualifications Formal IT qualifications Degree or equivalent At least 8 years practical experience in the systems administration and support of a multi-site network in a similar technical support capacity Experience in using administrative build tools and configuration management tools Experience in large scale deployments Strong diagnostic and trouble shooting skills Broad technical exposure across various types of environments VMware Certified Professional 6.x and Data Centre Virtualization desired Experience as a senior VMware, hybrid cloud infrastructure Server, storage, database, network security fundamental knowledge Experience across the entire enterprise data centre stack of Infrastructure Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server software, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Presentation Server, Microsoft Exchange Outlook, Microsoft Active Directory, SharePoint, IIS and or other industry standard server platform services Requires advanced understanding of LAN topology, routers, hubs, switches, firewalls and network protocols and services, including WAN MPLS, TCP IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, etc. Experience with cloud services and concepts IaaS, SaaS, Azure, AWS Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD Python and PowerShell scripting Strong communication and technical skills working on a highly process driven environment Self-starter, able to work as part of a team and independently without supervision The ability to manage conflicting priorities for a wide range of tasks. Strong problem solving, and debugging skills Proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently. Exhibit a high level of individual initiative.
