Our products are distributed Locally, Nationally and Internationally.As a result of continued growth, we are looking for an experienced finance professional to provide support to the Finance Manager General Manager. This is a hands on and varied position working across all financial and accounting activities for the business.As a family business this role provides an opportunity to be an instrumental member of the team to help make decisions to improve business performance through analysing data and producing reports. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career with a view to progressing into a Finance Manager role in the future. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate and timely month-end financial and performance reporting including balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journals, bank recs and BAS preparation.Cash flow management forecasting. Work with department managers to prepare, set and monitor annual budgets.Preparation of Company s monthly payroll tax return.Preparation of annual WorkCover Return.Improving detail of the company s Asset Registers.Working with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Assisting in EOFY functions in preparation for Financials and Annual Tax Return preparation by the external Company Accountant Preparation of Annual FBT return.Skills CompetenciesMinimum 4 years working in a Senior Finance Officer role in a small to medium sized business with strong commercial and business acumen.A qualification in Finance Accounting is essential. Degree level qualification preferred.Minimum 3 years experience using MYOB and XERO accounting systems.Proven experience in managing cash flow on a daily and weekly basis.Experience with available facilities for financing day to day Cashflow needs.High level of attention to detail and excellent financial analytical skills with the ability to produce meaningful, accurate financial and written reports.Advanced computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in the use of Excel to confidently create and develop accurate financial reports and spreadsheets.Previous experience in the use of an ERP system would be preferred.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial information to other business departments.This is a varied position and coaching will be provided on the job but the successful candidate will take a proactive approach to use their own initiative to learn. An ability to plan, organise and work within deadlines is essential.
