About Us Biodiverse Environmental is a Sunshine Coast based multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in ecology and biodiversity, environmental management, planning and approvals. We supply services to a wide range of clients in the private and public sectors throughout Queensland. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and abilities. The Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fauna Spotter Catcher to join our team. The role will involve local South East Queensland work, as well as possible work in the gas fields of the Surat Basin. Work in the Surat Basin will be Drive In Drive Out, therefore the successful applicant will ideally be based in South East Queensland. Accommodation and meals are supplied for away work. You will be employed on a casual basis with a two month probationary period. About You We are seeking a Fauna Spotter Catcher who can work autonomously, has great interpersonal skills and is able to build a rapport with the client, has a high level of fitness and is able to work remotely in tough conditions. The successful candidate will have extensive experience, ideally in the Gas and Oil industry. You must have the ability to travel and work away from home for periods of time if required. The successful candidate must possess the following Experience undertaking Fauna Spotter Catcher work Venomous snake handling certificate Construction Industry White Card C class driver licence manual Australian Citizenship Competent and confident in handling and relocating fauna Excellent communication and computer literacy skills Ability to be self-managed, self-motivated, work autonomously as well as in a team environment and have a strong work ethic Common sense and the ability to make decisions without guidance if required Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures. 4WD Certificate ISI Gas Induction The successful candidate may also possess the following Current First Aid and CPR certificate Recognised tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Animal Ecology, Zoology or a related discipline Fauna handling certificate Standard 11 generic induction QLD coal board medical.
