Application Closes 6 April 2021 Role Triage Officer, Compliance and Engagement - Determinations unit, Policy Regulation unit Role until - 30 June 2021 Number of vacancies available 2 Office Location s 50 Lonsdale Street Work from home Position Summary The Victorian Government introduced a mandatory quarantine detention approach from 27 March 2020, consistent with the Commonwealth Government, which required that all people arriving from overseas into Victoria on or after midnight on 28 March 2020, would be detained in hotel quarantine for a period of 14 days. Subsequent directions were issued on 13 April 2020 and 11 May 2020. The role of the Covid-19 Determinations unit is to process applications from international arrivals seeking exemption from mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine. The Triage Team operates as the first point of contact for incoming correspondence pertaining to requests for quarantine exemptions. Responsibilities Provide government advised responses to incoming queries and applications, drafting email responses on behalf of the Determinations team, reply to queries or redirect to appropriate business unit external agency. Managing the shared COVID Quarantine Outlook mailbox - ensuring that the Triage Team Leader and broader team is kept aware of any urgent correspondence matters. Assessing the urgency of applications and actioning accordingly by allocating new quarantine exemption applications to Determinations Team Leaders, ensuring Case Managers receive all correspondence relevant to their cases in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare, monitor and respond to FOI requests, investigate and respond to ministerial requests, action FMS requests which are approved by Team Leader Operations Managers. Provide timely reporting to Team Leaders and Operations Managers as required. Provide ad hoc business and administration support to the Determinations unit as required, working closely with IT to solve issues arising in CRM and distribute results to rest of team and department where necessary.
