Position Purpose The Occupational Therapist operates as a sole therapist but is part of the Access Inclusion team providing clinical expertise to support the professional and quality delivery of these programs. It is expected that the position holder is aligned to, and demonstrates NDS s values of respect, teamwork and collaboration, leadership, innovation and accountability at all times. Key Accountabilities Clinical Services Undertake clinical assessment and evaluate functional capacity of applications for Access and Inclusion programs, including ACROD Parking and WA Companion Card, against program criteria. Program Promotion Liaises with and promotes programs to applicants, members of the community, Government and other stakeholders regarding eligibility, best practice and relevant legislation. Professional Development Maintain professional registration and undertake appropriate professional development. Ad hoc other duties About you Recognised tertiary degree in Occupational therapy and registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA with a minimum of five years experience as an Occupational Therapist in a disability related field Knowledge of the impact of physical health, status and disability, on short term and long term functional capacity, and demonstrated mature clinical reasoning skills A contemporary understanding of issues and challenges experienced by people with disability and their families and carers, particularly in relation to functioning within the community and including the services and resources available Excellent consultation, communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite, and demonstrated capacity to use databases.
