Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, the Financial Accounant is a key member of our National Finance Team, ensuring transactional services and processes whilst providing support across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate recording of all accounting transactions ensuring compliance with accounting material
  • Weekly and Monthly reporting of all financials in HFM
  • Manage and monitor all tax and statutory reporting requirements such as annual reports, tax return, BAS, FBT and QBCC
  • Responsible for all banking approvals and control of company credit cards
  • Management of outsourced purchases, ensuring that suppliers are paid according to company policy and adequate controls are in place to reduce theft and fraud
  • Responsible for outsourced transactional accounting and bookkeeping
  • Maintenance of managing directors files ensuring that all filing is correct according to the accounting manual
  • Work with Business Controllers and Managers to review and implement systems and processes to provide strong controls that protect the assets and cash flow of the business

    • Essential Experience

    At least 2-3 years' experience in Finance/Accounting or Shared Services within the capital equipment/ building industry. You will have a focused attitude, are able to converse with a wide range of customers with your pleasant and friendly attitude. You have good mechanical aptitude and able to assess faults in auto doors.

  • Strong background in corporate accounting both management and financial
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Intermediate report writing skills using SQL
  • Knowledge of both Australian and New Zealand tax laws
  • Competent with International and Australian Accounting Standards
