With an increase of demand from their respected clients, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Control Systems Engineer.Their main warehouse is located on the southside of Brisbane that services customers across Australia. This permanent staff position reports into the Engineering Manager and you will enjoy the breadth in scope for this position, as you will develop the programming code, then test it in a live environment with the automated production equipment. You will be accountable for the following tasks Scope, develop, test, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems and upgrades. Create programming for Operator Interface displays, Feedback devices sensors, transducers, encoders, etc. , Electric motor control Servo, VFD, etc. , as well as Pneumatic and Hydraulic devices. Create and debug PLC code for Omron, or Allen-Bradley Siemens Solve practical software control design problems and interpret technical publications As required, you will be responsible for the commissioning of lines at the customers facility. Compliance with internal, client, industry, and legislative standards throughout all phases of works Liaising with clients and suppliers to understand requirements and offerings, and to follow through with all communications to successful implementations of solutions. Work with in-house engineers to troubleshoot and test the equipment during the assembly phaseThe experiences and abilities required to fulfil this position Proven experience in programming, commissioning, and fault finding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. Experience with Siemens and or Allen-Bradley, drive and servo systems, and robotic systems will be highly regarded. Experience with networking in corporate and industrial environments. Proven knowledge of industrial communications and controls Have experience with Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text Knowledge of circuit design system integration Good understanding of electrical and health safety codes Proficient in C# Visual Studio Environment Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Development Be available to commission and fault finding of projects and machinery at the customers locations which may be interstate.
