Moree Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Midwife to join our close-knit friendly team Employment Type Permanent Full Time Position Classification Registered Midwife Remuneration 64,377.92 - 90,394.15 per annum Hours Per Week 38 Requisition ID REQ217970 Registered Midwife Moree District Hospital About the role The Registered Midwife provides safe, compassionate woman centred care within the maternity and gynaecology service ensuring care is delivered in partnership with women and their families. This position may see you taking a leadership role in coordinating midwifery care, working in partnership with Registered Nurses, Student Midwives, Assistants in Midwifery and the multidisciplinary team in a collaborative model which places the woman at the centre of her maternity care. The successful applicant will be supported in this role with a Clinical Midwifery Educator on site and a unit that values and promotes an educated workforce, along with a comprehensive orientation period. The successful applicant would be expected to work across Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal spectrum on a daily basis. The midwifery team has a shared care antenatal program with the local GPObstetrician s which enables the Midwifery Team to build a repour with each woman before presenting to the ward in labour. Moree is visited monthly by a Maternal Foetal Medicine Specialist, which allows for women who fall into the higher risk categories to be care for locally. The successful applicant will be expected to work on a rotating roster across all shifts. An opportunity exists to be deployed to other departments on occasion, dependant on scope of practice and previous experience. Where you #39 ll be working This role is based in the Moree District Hospital 8 bed Maternity Unit and is a shift work position. Moree has a Clinical Midwifery Educator on site, as well as the High Risk Maternal Foetal Medicine Clinic which visits and provides ongoing support the unit. Moree Maternity cares for a diverse spectrum of women and we work closely with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Maternal Infant Health Services. Moree is a small town on the North West Slopes and Plains of NSW. 3.5 hours to major cities, and direct flights to Sydney daily. Moree is flush with quality cafes, sporting clubs, artesian water pools and great amenities.
