Want to be part of it Lead Employment Programs and Redeployment for the department Utilise your people management skills Support entry level pathways in diversity and inclusionAbout UsThe Recruitment Services branch within People and Workplace Services provides expert advice and support to the Department of Justice and Community Safety on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices.Working within the department's strategic objective of building a high performing justice system , Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Manager, Employment Programs and Career Transition on a fixed term secondment basis until November 2021 in People and Workplace Services.The Assistant Manager is responsible for two portfolios Employment Programs RedeploymentThe role will lead the department's Employment Programs ensure successful program management and delivery across the department, including regular reviews and assessment of the programs impacts, and representation of the department at Whole of Victorian Government Forums which include but are not limited to the following Youth Employment Program Youth Employment Scheme Youth Cadetship Scheme Intern Programs Apprenticeship Employment Network, and Graduate Program.The position will lead redeployment case management responsibilities which includes providing specialised case management to surplus employees within the department. In addition, this will include consultation and guidance with job applications, interview preparation and techniques and providing ongoing feedback ensuring that the department's redeployment processes are consistent with the application of merit and equity and legislative requirements are met.As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate An in-depth understanding of the labour market and redeployment principals, supporting processes including a strong understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to Victorian public servants. Subject matter expertise and professional experience in designing, implementing and coordinating various recruitment selection tools and methodologies e.g. graduate and internship programs .
