RECRUITMENT DAYWe are holding a Recruitment Day on Thursday 25th March 2021, between 10am and 2pm, at 12 Keys Stree, Frankston.Please bring along 100 points of ID, your police and WWCC checks, resume, qualifications, references, and any other relevant paperwork. POSITION OVERVIEWThe primary purpose of this casual role is to provide direct customer care which aims to promote the dignity of our customers and support them to develop their potential. We are looking for Childcare Qualified people to work with our younger customers, and Disability Qualified people to work with our older customers.As we cover Werribee, Melbourne, South Eastern Suburbs including Pakenham, Bayside, Frankston, and Mornington Peninsula, we are looking for interested candidates in all of these areas.All Support Workers will be required to comply with NDIS Worker Compliance requirements to work with NDIS Participants, one-on-one, sometimes in a group, and at times, alongside other Support Workers to meet the individual needs of the Participant. The ability to be flexible as the role may require working outside of ordinary operating hours including weekends and public holidays depending on customer needs. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Compassionate, Caring, Emotional Intelligence and ConfidenceTransferable life and work skills to undertake the position tasksClear National Police Record CheckWorking with Children Check Employee Medication TrainingCompletion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality, Safety and You Completion of Infection Control CertificateManual Handling desirable Current First Aid Certificate completed within the last 12 months CPR Practical course completed within the last 6 months Current Drivers Licence and reliable vehicleProven capability to work with technology and applications that are accessed via a smartphone or computerEffective verbal and written communication skills to ensure that the understands and progress notes are written in line with policies and proceduresHoist experience is highly desirablePlease note that all certificates will be required to be produced during the appointment process and whilst working as a casual.
