Your new companyThis Organisation is committed to providing Australia with high quality, national data and analysis across the health, housing and community services sectors. Specifically, this team provides advice and support to the Organisation on ethics, privacy, legal, and data governance matters, and are seeking an experienced Secretariat and Governance officer to support these functions. Your new roleYou will be engaged to provide high level secretariat support for the Ethics Committee and potentially other committees and their related projects. You will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including committee members, and prepare meeting agendas and papers, as well as provide advice and support across Data Governance and Privacy activities. Your tasks will involve but are not limited to Provide efficient and effective secretariat services including meeting coordination, liaising within internal external stakeholders, preparation of complex papers, attend committee meetings and the provision of detailed and accurate minutes Liaise with committee members and respond to their enquiries professionally and in a timely manner Undertake research and interpret legislation, which includes the Privacy Act 1988 and other key requirements and guidance relevant to the ethical conduct of research Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders relating to the interpretation and application of policies, processes or legislation.
