The CompanyCovalent Lithium Pty Ltd Covalent is the manager appointed by a joint venture between subsidiaries of Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. SQM and Wesfarmers Limited to develop and operate the Mount Holland Lithium Project, which will be a unique, fully integrated producer of battery quality lithium hydroxide in Western Australia.The Mount Holland Lithium Project, when constructed, will include a mine and concentrator at Mount Holland, located south of Southern Cross, and a refinery in Kwinana that will produce approximately 50,000 tonnes per year of lithium hydroxide a value-added lithium chemical that is a key input to electric vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation in the new energy sector. Covalent s products will enable the production of up to 1 million electric vehicles per year. The RoleThe Senior Surveyor is responsible for leading onsite surveyors to maintaining and measuring all spatial data and control at the Mt Holland Mine. The Senior Surveyor is also responsible for preparing and updating all mine surveying plans on the mine site.This position is available on a full-time permanent basis on a rotation from Perth to Mt Holland site on a 5 24 3 rotation. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport in driving a safety culture on site for Mt Holland, attend safety meetings and ensure contractors meet complianceEnsure risk assessment and Job Hazard Analyses JHA s are completed as required.Ensure no piece of survey related equipment commences work on site without the relevant risk management process first being completed.Responsible for using survey equipment supplied by Covalent which will include total stations, RTK GPS, laser scanners, photogrammetry, unmanned aerial vehicles, specific high accuracy measuring equipment, and any other speciality equipment required to complete any spatial task required by Covalent. Measure and stake out mining areas as defined by the Mine Plans.Compile spatial data to update maps and models of all operations across the Mine, Process plant, Village, Airport.Compile specific high accuracy measurements of critical structures across the Mine and Process plant to monitor deformation developments.Ensure prism monitoring is carried out accurately and efficiently.Periodic capturing of dump, stockpiles, mining faces, and any other spatial volume required for end of period reporting. Report to the Manager Technical Services on progress and advances, change and or work done during the respective month, or any periodic interval as desired by the company.Manage and export electronic design data to Fleet Management System database so that operators of HPGPS guided heavy machinery can follow the respective designs.Manage and export electronic design data to the mining Supervisors systems so that they can ensure that the HPGPS guided heavy machinery are following the respective designs.Provision of spatial control for aerial, terrestrial, and UAV photogrammetry.Maintain and operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to provide critical spatial information across the Mine and Process plant.Supervise all UAV missions under Covalent Operation Certificate.Provide wear rate measurements of critical structures across the Mine and Process plant.Capture spatial data for vegetation mapping, rehabilitation, and vegetation control and eradication purposes.Capturing aerial data using the UAV systems for blast monitoring and measuring purposes.Performing Lidar scans of mining faces and stockpiles.Provision of survey control for geological face and structure deformation mapping.Survey the Mining Lease marks.Provision of survey skills for business management and improvement projects.Provision or checking of survey information for Permit to Dig and Ground Disturbance Permits.Ensure the demand chain is provided with all information required for them to promptly and accurately complete execution planning. This may include, but is not limited to Survey information gathered and processed by the surveyor to satisfy the requirementsMine and dumpfacesPit shapeVolumesProvide surveys and volumes as required for periodic and ad hoc reporting to the Manager Technical Services, Mine Planners, and Finance department and all pit Managers, Supervisors, and any other relevant departments personnel.Ensure any geospatial issues which might impact the ability to meet the shift plan are clearly communicated to the relevant employees and contractors.Immediately report deviations of mining activities from the designsto the Manager Technical Services and the Production Team.Train as necessary Remote Pilots who work under the authority of the RPA Operators Certificate ReOC .Report all specific deformation developments of criticalstructures across the Mine and Process plan to relevant departments.Role RequirementsDegree Qualified in SurveyingConstruction White CardC Class Manual Driver s LicenseFirst Aid CertificationGrade 2 AuthorisationRemote Pilot License REPL Multi Rotor
