We are a Registered Training Organisation RTO offering accredited, pre-accredited, work skills and leisure courses. Our Community School, a registered independent school, provides secondary curriculum to students in an alternative school environment. Family and Children s Services supports children s services for long day care, pre-school programs, occasional care, vacation care and before and after school care. Community Hubs, bringing people together to connect, learn and contribute in their local community through social, education, recreational and support activities. With a focus on engaging and empowering young people, the Youth Worker will facilitate multiple after school programs across the Yarra Ranges. Gravity is a new initiative designed to provide young people aged 8 to 14 with a space to engage with peers, make new friends and participate in a variety of activities. The Youth Worker will be responsible for facilitating activities, encouraging young people to participate and providing a warm and inviting space. Who Are You You have an in-depth understanding of trauma-informed practice and proven experience working with young people in a youth work setting and youth-centric programs. Your ability to listen, collaborate, guide and engage, as well as meeting project deliverables, will see you succeed in this unique role. You demonstrate integrity in your practice and maintain strong professional boundaries at all times whilst creating a safe space and building rapport with those you work with. You must hold a minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Mental Health, Community Services or equivalent with post-graduate qualifications or currently working towards these an advantage.
