The role The Operational Technology Specialist will provide technical leadership in developing and implementing Yarra Valley Water's Operational Technology OT strategy in consultation with other stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and adopting new systems, technologies and procedures to better manage and improve YVW's OT environment. A key function of this role is as the strategic Subject Matter Expert for SCADA and Communication Technologies 4G, Radio, LPWA, etc. and all related components such as Enterprise Historian, RTU's, PLC's, etc. What will I be doing Develop OT strategies in line with Yarra Valley Water 2030 Strategy and Water PlanImplement strategic projects in line with OT Strategy using internal external resources including contractorsProvide strong technical leadership in the development and integration of key network operational management systems, SCADA, IoT Platform, Distribution Management System and Enterprise Historian, etc.Engage with business stakeholders to understand where there are significant opportunities to improve customer experience and or productivity and reduce risk using OTAnalyse, identify and document key requirements and benefits of all OT modernisation projects before and after implementation to ensure all investments are aligned with YVW's corporate objectives, regulatory compliance requirements, customer expectations, industry standards and cyber security guideline.Lead decisions on inhouse OT management vs outsourcingLead cross functional teams on all OT related projectsProvide advice to develop OT standards, policies, practices, proceduresManage the procurement processes and be responsible for all OT related Strategic Project budgets and financial reportingWhat are we looking for The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience as a specialist within the Operational Technology field covering ICT, SCADA, ICS, Big Data, Analytics, Cyber Security and IoT devicesDemonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in dealing with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators and committeesDemonstrated experience in managing all documents, policies and procedures, standards and specificationsExperience in developing strategies, analysis, and efficiency improvementsWhy Yarra Valley Water This full-time role is classified as aa Senior Manager 3-year contract , salary package 130,000 - 150,000 per annum dependent on experience, inclusive of 9.5 superannuationHome office set up allowanceGenerous personal leave entitlementsTraining and development opportunitiesSocial events, skill-sharing and networking opportunitiesHow to apply Applications should include a supporting Cover Letter and Resume.
