This is a great opportunity for an experienced After Hours, OOHC first response to crisis worker, to join our Northern Territory Programs team, based in Katherine with travel to Darwin on a part-time basis. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly organised individual with experience responding to, and supporting staff and carers in crisis after hours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES First response to crisis in person and by phone Attend residential houses as required for support Assist carers and therapeutic care workers support through incidents following all protocol for Wellbeing and Critical Incident Support the Therapeutic Care Worker with CASPA Policy and Procedure after hours Documentation including entering information on client management system MFiles Administration needs for the After-Hours Support unit Coordinate and lead search for CYP if they have absconded liaise with the Police as key contact and various external stakeholders SKILLS EXPERIENCE Certificate IV in Community Services or related field Experience in ensuring a therapeutic environment is developed and maintained Experience and skills in working with MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word Experience working in afterhours response teams High level organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and changing circumstances Proven communication, listening and interpersonal skills to be able to problem solve and liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, Child Protection Check and Working with Children Check.
