HOBAN Recruitment are seeking applications for a Scheduler Planner role with one of the biggest energy distributor in the ACT.As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective scheduling of works and resources for electricity distribution network works. This role is based in Woden.Key responsibilities Schedule the resources for all works issued in accordance with the agreed priorities and timeframes.Schedule works and resources in line with the principles of pooled trades, sharing resources across sections as determined by the priorities placed on works.Maintain a six to 12 week rolling schedule for all relevant works, with a clear understanding of resource capacity over the six to 12 week window.Co-ordinate work priorities, escalating scheduling issues to the relevant Section Manager as required.Work closely with the Reactive Controller to allocate resources for reactive works on short-term notice, leveraging the structure of reactive maintenance teams.Ensure effective resource utilisation in response to short-term disruptions to the schedule,Drive resource utilisation through measures such as providing maintenance or scoping tasks to teams which have capacityMaintain the on-call roster and perform associated duties such as distributing the roster to all staff.To be successful in this role you will need Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electricity distribution network work activities.Proficiency in use of desktop applications and considerable analytical experience in prioritising work.Working understanding of the principles of effective scheduling, planning, work implementation and resource management.Strong communication, negotiation and teamwork skills.Relevant diplomas or qualifications are preferred however relevant practical experience will be taken into consideration.Benefits to you Attractive hourly rates, pay weekly3 month initial assignment with a possibility for extensionSupportive team environment and induction trainingIf you would like to be considered for this position please click Apply button and upload your resume.
