Department of Education Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region West Leeming Primary School School Officer Pool Ref IPS SS674945 Level 2, 59,189 - 63,931 per annum DOE SSO CA 2019 Advertised Vacancy Number IPS SS674945 Appointment Pool Are you an exceptional School Officer West Leeming Primary School PS is seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2022. This is a high profile position that requires excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking individuals who have the capacity to work independently and show initiative in their daily tasks. As School Officer you will be the first point of contact for our school and will be responsible for providing accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff and community members using your exemplary communication skills. The School Officer will undertake reception duties including greeting visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. With your outstanding organisation skills you will also provide general clerical and administrative support including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices and other materials for both the school and its external clients. Suitable applicants would be required to support the Manager Corporate Services in the delivery of school database systems information, reporting and accounts payable or receivable. Suitable applicants will assist with administering the financial resources of the school including payment of invoices, end of month procedures including FREDA verification and online BAS submissions, RM Finance adjustments, banking, payroll processes and ensure date integrity, ensuring processes are managed in accordance with the Department of Education policies. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements selection criteria - experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively. - experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and or preparing financial returns. - ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing. - good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices. - good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
