About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national Human Resources team based in our modern Melrose Park Head Office. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will either be an all-round HR generalist with experience assisting with staff human resources management or you will be Degree qualified and ready to kick start your career.

You will primarily provide managers with day to day HR support and advice covering the employee lifecycle and will be able to provide advice in line with current legislation and organisational policy. In addition, you will contribute to HR projects and initiatives to ensure the continual improvement of HR services. We are seeking someone who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same, has an eagerness and appetite to learn, enjoys being part of a supportive and collaborative team and has the humility to ask for help when it's needed.

This role is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis and is situated at our Melrose Park Head Office. Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.

You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice.

What we're looking for

  • A person with either at least 3 years previous generalist HR experience covering the full employee lifecycle or Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Law or a related discipline;
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maturity;
  • Ability interpreting and applying policy and legislation;
  • High level administration skills, attention to detail and IT literacy, including Word, Excel, Outlook, accurate data entry and ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm with accuracy;
  • A good communicator who will liaise confidently and respectfully with our staff and management; and
  • Willingness to travel intrastate and interstate for short periods as required.

    A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
