As an experienced Operations Lead, you will ensure a high level of product quality and customer satisfaction is maintained, meet all specifications and delivery expectations through the leadership of production and despatch staff and processes. Using your commercial acumen and customer-centric approach, you will ensure orders are confirmed accurately and liaise with sales on agreed delivery dates and within costs, promoting overall profitability. With a strategic view on operations, you will establish medium-term operational work plans for the area and use them as a base to allocate resources and schedule work priorities and accountability across the various functions and activities. Focused on continuous improvement, you will contribute to the operational performance review around financial outcomes drivers, operational efficiency, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will delegate the improvement action around the procedures and work instructions. As an inspiring leader, you will foster a work environment and culture with a strong focus on employee engagement, growing capability and reward for operational excellence, process improvement and responsiveness to change. You will role model and influence a safe work environment, conduct regular safety interactions and audits to ensure safety systems are operating as intended in your area. Key Technical Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Engineering, Foundry industrial technology or a combination of relevant industry experience Metal trade-based education background pattern making, moulding or similar preferred Frontline Leadership experience Experience working within a heavy manufacturing or foundry environment Extensive experience in a production supervisory position There is more to this excellent operational leadership role where you can nurture your supervisory skills and also work with a high performing and supportive team.
