We are currently seeking a resourceful and outcomes driven professional who, by working with and providing leadership to the scholarships team and in partnership with key stakeholders, will contribute to the ongoing growth and efficiencies of the USQ scholarship activities. What you ll do Reporting to the Associate Director Social Justice, Equity and Inclusion your main priority is to ensure the management, allocation and administration of scholarships is performed in line with the requirements of government, financial donors and the University. In addition to this you will Provide leadership and guidance to a small team responsible for ensuring that all scholarships are allocated, without prejudice, in order to enhance the student experience Manage and monitor the distribution and expenditure associated with scholarships for acquittal and reporting purposes, preparing reports as required Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and communicate with prospective applicants and current scholarship recipients in relation to scholarship opportunities and requirements Contribute to the continuous improvement of scholarship offerings, application and selection processes as well as business processes Actively seek and drive applied research and relevant projects including evaluation and Provide strategic advice to management in relation to trends and issues relevant to the role. What will help you succeed You will demonstrate strong business and operations acumen, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop team and stakeholder relationships at all levels. As well as being flexible, solution focused and resilient, your proven consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills, along with the ability to provide insights to the business to inform and enable effective management and strategic decisions, will be essential for the position. Ideally, you will have A degree in Business, Finance or a related field, which may be offset by extensive relevant experience Experience in leading a team and motivating individuals to achieve excellent client service and work outcomes Applied knowledge of current equity and diversity issues particularly as they affect Australian higher education Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to provide advice to students from diverse backgrounds, convey scholarship decisions and communicate with stakeholders Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and act appropriately across a variety of complex situations and High level skills across a range of administrative tasks, including accurate record keeping and preparation of reports and evaluation data. The role will assist USQ to develop and deliver successful outcomes, build capacity, facilitate partnerships across USQ stakeholders and community.
