The Enterprise Lending Transformation Charter is a multi-year program of work which will reshape how lending is undertaken across the Bank. The aim of this program is to simplify, optimise and digitise to improve our time to yes . It will address our current lending systems, processes, operating models, supporting policies and products across Consumer, Business and Rural that don t support the growth required for us to become Australia s Bank of Choice. About the role With a focus on transforming the lending experience for customers and staff, the purpose of the role is to work with established group functions to drive the evolution of the Group s approach to credit risk in support of its transformation ambitions. Supporting the Enterprise Lending Charter for the Consumer, Business Agri customer segments, the role will champion and lead the development of credit policy and implementing via digital means and risk rating approaches, scorecards and models which leverage not only available internal data but also novel internal and external data sets. Responsible for working with the business, Group Risk and Technology Transformation, we require someone who has hands on experience in interpreting and applying IRB precepts according to the requirements of APS113 in delivering automated decisioning solutions. The role is responsible for risk rating model and scorecard development as well as a deep understanding of the fundamentals of credit risk strategy management is essential. You need to have implemented transformational change for an organisation and understand what can and cannot be done, with a willingness to challenge the status quo. About you Strategic knowledge and understanding of how policy, decision criteria, reporting data, risk models, lending authorities, organisational design, capital and RAROC play into an effective and efficient lending value chain. An understanding and experience in how of how credit risk is managed, modelled and monitored through the value chain for both retail and non-retail lending. Strategic and influencing skills to be an agent for change in aligning the risk organisation behind transformation initiatives and charters. An ability to take a leadership stance on how Business Divisions and Group Risk needs to evolve to support emergent business models in their transformed target state. Worked as part of a team that lead the transformation of customer and staff lending experience, with specific focus on transforming credit risk practices. Expertise in prudential, regulatory and compliance frameworks, standards and policies applying to ADIs. Sound understanding of capital management, allocation concepts and methodology. Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment including the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills, dealing discreetly and retaining confidentiality, respecting cultural diversity and communicating effectively in a complex organisation Highly effective communication written and verbal skills including the ability to develop and present sound and compelling business cases, proposals and analytical reports to a variety of audiences with exceptional influencing skills Demonstrated leadership capability and experience, ideally within a transformation environment Tertiary qualifications in finance, legal or business-related degrees 5-10 years banking experience, preferably in relevant transformation, credit risk and relationship roles in business banking corporate banking segments Why us There's so much more to a career with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank than just banking.
