Tech Strategy & Advisory – Technology Consulting Manager (Utilities - Retail)

  • Lead a consulting (SI) team at an Energy Retailer, helping the client transform the way they handle, process and create insights from data
  • Report into a wider program of work that includes enabling compliance with 5-minute settlements
  • Support and grow future data science opportunities at the client
  • Work with innovative teams and latest technologies

    We are looking for a Tech Consulting Manager to join our Tech Strategy and Advisory Practice, helping business re-imagine what technology & human ingenuity can achieve. This role is mainly focused to our Utilities clients in the first instance, but not limited to this industry.

    A typical day for a Tech Consulting Manager aligned to Utilities

  • Managing issues, risks and schedule as a Delivery Lead on Utilities projects
  • Managing dependencies with other projects
  • Develop Digital and IT strategy for clients in alignment with their growth agenda
  • Deliver and sell advisory services to CIO/CTO/CDO
  • Support the technology solutioning and estimating in proposals, planning and pricing
  • Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client
  • To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong Utilities background (at least 5 years)
  • Demonstrated success within technology consulting
  • Aptitude to work with new cloud based solutions
  • Understanding of Utilities retail market procedures including transfers, service orders etc
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Utilities market solutions in Australia for electricity and/or gas retailers
  • Strong relationship building skills and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in applying data science to the Utilities industry highly regarded
  • Strong data science background (including Python, R) would be ideal but not essential
