Job Title Executive AssistantJob Grade Classification Clerk Grade 7 8Employment Type Ongoing, Full-timeLocation Parramatta, or by negotiation Full-time ongoing opportunity Flexible working conditions, based in Parramatta or elsewhere by negotiation Salary starts at 97,443 super The Department of Planning, Industry Environment DPIE has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to provide executive, secretarial and administrative services across a range of complex issues to the Executive Director, Communications to support the efficient and effective operation of the office and the optimal utilisation of the Executive Director s time and resources. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team which strives for excellence. Key Challenges Working with a high degree of tact and diplomacy in the coordination of confidential matters requiring the Executive Director s attention particularly the handling of politically sensitive or embargoed material and coordinate responses to urgent requests for information, briefings or advice. Providing creative solutions to unusual work requests for which there are no established procedures and ensuring actions and tasks are completed accurately and on time. Establishing and maintaining strong and effective working relationships and consistent systems and procedures which enable the most effective prioritisation and use of time. Developing and managing sensitive materials which requires a high level of attention to detail and strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel. To succeed in this role, you would have experience as an Executive Assistant or senior Administrator with similar scope and responsibilities.
