Making infrastructure work for our communities is at the heart of who we are and it's what unites and excites us.Ventia are currently seeking to engage an experienced Infrastructure Services Manager for our Defence Base Services contract in Darwin NT. This role would see you based at Defence Establishment Berrimah and also responsible for Larrakeyah Navy Base. Your primarily responsibilities would be to providing a high level of customer service, managing key stake holders as well as supervision and co-ordination to the building trades to effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract.Primary Responsibilities Supervision of in house trade s staff for all General Estate Works GEW under the Defence Contract. Supervision of building trade subcontractors for GEW works under the Defence Contract. Arrange site access, including inductions, access to drawings, maps, escorts, dig permits and so on, for in house staff, contractors and sub-contractors. Manage costs and budgets associated with the delivery of GEW Ensure accounts are maintained with appropriate suppliers to ensure equipment and services are available to tradespersons. Monitoring the performance of service delivery functions at the service point or base location Establishing and maintaining appropriate on-base liaison and relationships with key Client and Customer representatives. Ensure service delivery is effective and meets the stated Contract requirements and KPI s. Ensure all information regarding GEW works is entered into DEMS in a timely manner. Coordinate appropriate QA, HSE and audit related activities for the GEW services delivered. Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of Defence roles, functions and asset management Background in Project Management Trade or Engineering highly regarded Basic knowledge of removal of Hazardous Material. Understanding of SAP, MS Word and MS Excel. Ability to learn and use proprietary software necessary to support the position Current Drivers Licence High understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System Excellent computer, word processing and technical knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent customer service focus Good problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance to the level of Secret.
