The team undertakes a diverse range of legal work with a focus on medical, regulatory and general insurance work. The team is based in Brisbane but also works closely with lawyers in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.Your roleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Secretary for this full time permanent role. In this position you will be an integral part of that team and work closely with and provide a full range of legal secretarial support for two Partners, one being the Partner Group Leader. The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic, proactive, a self-starter and have the skills to juggle a large workload with competing priorities.As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include Drafting correspondence, document preparation including the use of precedents and amendments Proactive diary management and coordination of meeting travel arrangements Liaising with clients as directed by fee earners Organising meetings Answering calls and monitoring emails High volume file management including opening and closing files, electronic and some physical filing Monthly billing in accordance with client requirements Reconciliation of corporate AMEX expenses using Concur General administrative tasks including photocopying, searches and formatting Other ad hoc duties as requiredWhat you needWe welcome applications from experienced Legal Secretaries Executive Assistants with 5 years of experience who process the following attributes experience working in a similar role high level skills in Microsoft Office suite a solid understanding of billing and financial systems and other software applications exceptional organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail self-motivated and an ability to work autonomously with minimal direction an excellent communicator a strong client focus and be team orientated and committed to building a rapport with your practice group a pro-active and flexible attitude and high degree of initiative and confidentiality pride in your workWhat we offerMinterEllison people are caring, high-achieving and supportive of each other both at work and outside of it.
