Our Recreation and Leisure team provide a range of sport, recreation and healthy lifestyle opportunities for the community, including health and fitness facilities and programs at the City s Aquatic Facilities, including Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre, Leisurepark Balga and the flagship Scarborough Beach Pool. The Roles Our Gym Instructors are responsible for conducting fitness appraisals, designing individual programs and providing supervision to ensure safe and effective use of gym equipment. Gym Instructors take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the Health Fitness rooms and equipment and, as part of a wider team, are responsible for providing high standards of customer service to centre visitors and members. Our Personal Trainers are responsible for undertaking individualised personal training sessions. Personal Trainers conduct fitness appraisals and design programs to suit the individual client s needs and work within the team at Stirling Leisure Centres to provide excellent customer service attending to clients needs as required. The City of Stirling is currently seeking Gym Instructors and Personal Trainers to work across the City s health and fitness facilities. Position RequirementsIf you think you ve got what it takes to be a part of Team Stirling you ll share our commitment to enhancing choice, opportunity and prosperity for our community by Being an enthusiastic team member with strong interpersonal skillsDemonstrating a results driven attitudeExercising finely tuned decision making skills In addition, to be considered for this role, you ll possess the following skills and or qualifications Fitness Australia Registration or an industry recognised equivalent.Certificate IV in Health Fitness. Or equivalent tertiary qualifications Current Perform First Aid Certificate.Current CPR Certificate.Considerable experience in fitness instruction. Applicants must be available to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Benefits These casual positions attract an hourly rate of up to 27.99 per hour inclusive of casual loading for Gym Instructors and up to 45.02 per session for Personal Trainers.15 shift allowance may be applied to the base salary offered in accordance with the Inside Workforce Agreement.
