We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis, as our existing accountant is retiring from the current role after many years. The successful candidate will be CA or CPA Qualified and have extensive accounting experience in the real estate and property industry and demonstrated experience of Trust accounting. This position is to start as soon as practical, and is based in our Paddington head office, with core hours from 8 30am until 5 00pm Monday to Friday, but as required to complete the role. Key responsibilities include Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and rolling cash flow forecast to provide support in financial decision makingPrepare and manage month-end reconciliation of general ledgers, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and journals, working cohesively with our external Company Accountant.Analyse, interpret and make recommendations for key stakeholders to improve financial performance and support the application of key performance indicators and for the leaders to make strategic decisions. We are looking for someone who has the ability and knowledge to perform End of month reconciliation of Balance Sheet accountsPreparation entry of monthly accruals, journals and adjustmentsReconciling all bank accountsAccounts payable including processing payments for supplier invoicesAccounts receivable - Invoicing for marketing and contract sales residential and projects.Management of debtorsPerforming inter-company transactions and monthly reconciliationsProcess banking including depositsTrust accounting Sales Property Management oversee transactions and review monthly.Preparation and lodgment of GST and BAS reporting on a monthly quarterly basis and annual FBT returns.Processing fortnightly payroll along with preparing and lodging Payroll tax, PAYG and SuperannuationPreparation of cash flow forecasts assistance with cash flow managementFixed Assets registerInter-entity loan accountsAssisting with the workflow and supervision of external Bookkeeper for other entities.Reporting to the Directors of the company Criteria to be successful in this position The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years proven experience in Internal Management accounting role.MYOB accounting software The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills Ability to work in a team environment but to self-manage workflows and meet critical time linesThe ability to efficiently and professionally interact with clients via email, face to face and telephone.
