About the role We are delighted to announce that an opportunity exists for an Industrial Ammonia Plant Operator at our flagship Kooragang Island manufacturing site located in Newcastle, NSW. This position will report to the Team Leader our of Industrial Ammonia Plant. Orica Kooragang Island manufactures ammonia, pure carbon dioxide, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate products which are used in mining, infrastructure, agriculture, water treatment and food and beverage industries locally, nationally and internationally. Orica has operated at Kooragang Island for over 50 years and is committed to the health and safety of employees and minimising the impact of our manufacturing activities on the community and the environment. The key objective for the Plant Operator role will be to work to safety procedures to operate the plant, conduct analysis of our product and conduct product transfer to logistics teams, to support delivery to our customers. Success in this role will allow the Kooragang Island site and Orica to meet and exceed our performance objectives in the areas of SHES, Costs, Customers and Quality.
