What you'll contribute to Toyota are looking to recruit a Product Quality Specialist to join our Guest First Division based at Altona. You will be primarily responsible for supporting product quality activities in order to ensure new model vehicles exceed local market quality expectations. This role also supports technical investigations into identified product quality concerns in order to develop countermeasures that maximise guest satisfaction and safety. A major aspect of the role will be working across various projects within Guest First to improve systems and processes. Other activities will see you involved with Emissions Testing regulatory requirements, as well as initiatives around Quality Assurance of accessorised vehicles and in-car multi-media devices. What will you do Implements agreed product quality monitoring and reporting systems, processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to ensure local market customer quality expectation is promoted to designers and manufacturers. Assists with projects relating to service performance and product performance in the Australian market, including field environment studies, new model suitability, product improvement across range , Customer Service Excellence Award, VLD operations and port corrections in order to contribute to the achievement of Guest First objectives. Implements agreed field issue investigation and resolution systems, processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to ensure Early Detection Early Resolution EDER of product quality concerns thus maximising guest satisfaction and safety. Assists in root cause investigation of field technical problems collecting, inspecting and analysing all necessary information, data, parts and vehicles. Recommends countermeasures where required. Maintains reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitors and analyses performance against targets for own area and recommends countermeasures where required in order to ensure that agreed objectives can be achieved. Monitors own tasks with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities.
