We are currently seeking to recruit a compassionate, flexible and suitably experienced Multiskilled Carer to work at our Numbala Nunga and Ngamang Bawoona facilities, located in the Kimberley town of Derby (approx. 2500km from Perth). Numbala Nunga and Ngamang Bawoona provide care for up to 43 residents in an enabling and culturally appropriate manner.
The purpose of this role will be to provide person centred care to our residents, to improve their quality of life whilst adhering to Juniper's core values, policies and procedures. You will be required to partner with residents, enabling them to fulfil their daily living, social and emotional needs.
On offer for the successful candidate will be a permanent position, working 75 hours per fortnight across a variety of shifts.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
Provide assistance to residents with their hygiene needs including; bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming and personal care.
Support the maintenance or restoration of residents' independence by providing assistance to engage in activities of interest and use mobility aids where required.
Complete accurate and timely documentation and report information to relevant Nursing, Allied Health and Management as required.
Maintain effective communication in the workplace, being respectful, open to change and kind in your approach.
Assist residents with the administration of correct medication in accordance with Juniper policies
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent / Cert III Aged Care (desirable)
Relevant experience working in aged care (desirable)
A kind, caring and compassionate approach to providing care (essential)
Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
An understanding of aging and dementia
Experience working within a person centred, enabling environment
