About the role We are seeking a Material Controller to join our production team at Currumbin in a full-time permanent capacity. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing and ordering supply of raw materials to meet the requirements of all Neumann Steel sites. You will also maintain appropriate levels of stock items within the Neumann Steel network within agreed and published levels. Forward planning of raw material requirements is critical to the role and will require liaison with staff throughout Neumann Steel and with external suppliers. Key responsibilities Ensure all stock levels are maintained within the system as accurately as possible Ensure that agreed stock levels are maintained in conjunction with internal and external customer requirements Identify and resolve transfer issues and queries in a timely manner Drive stock takes and assist when required Prepare and assist with EOFY stock take and documentation Maintain accurate purchasing and usage data to be used in forecasting for materials as advised. Effectively communicate any potential stock issues regarding lead time and availability Manage critical priorities by liaising with suppliers and third-party logistics to coordinate deliveries Manage galvanising requirements by coordinating with Logistics Production third parties Liaise with Scheduling and Production for forward planning of stock requirements Provide input for strategic supply chain direction based on lead times, pricing performance Actively participate in supply chain pricing investigations Undertake other duties and or projects as required About you Proven history of activities that achieve individual, team and business objectives Extensive experience with stock systems Experience in coordinating stock assignments Sound communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders Strong knowledge or ability to learn new computer systems and manage input output Ability to forward plan, prioritise, problem-solve and deadline driven How to apply With our commitment to achieving a diverse workforce, we strongly encourage applications from everyone If you believe you meet the above criteria and are interested in working for a reputable organisation, please apply now.The application form will include these questions Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia What #x27 s your expected annual base salary Do you have experience with inventory management Do you have experience with inventory optimisation How many years #x27 experience do you have in supply chain management SCM Report this job advert
