The Role We are seeking a Safety Compliance and Flight Data Management Officer to join our Regional Services business. The role contributes to the improvement, management, effectiveness and oversight of Cobham Regional Services safety risk and compliance management framework, while ensuring that policies and procedures comply with business and regulatory requirements and align with industry best practice. The position will also undertake detailed analysis of information derived from flight data and line operations safety audits This role reports to the Head of Safety and Quality HSQ . Key Duties and Responsibilities Compliance Hold, promote and demonstrate safety as a core value to the business and lead in driving the business toward its vision of Zero Harm and an incident injury free environment through active support of and participation in, all safety programmes Review and develop appropriate safety policies, procedures and processes and the associated education, communication and training across the business Develop and maintain the Annual Audit Schedule Provide subject matter expertise for safety action development to address audit findings Conduct continuous improvement and development of safety audit and investigation processes and procedures and provide analysis, advice and support for audits Oversight the safety database and safety risk register, assist in producing monthly and quarterly reports by ensuring the integrity of the data in the safety reporting database and Business Enterprise reporting tool is true and correct Conduct surveys on safety, risk and compliance issues. Analyse and present results Co-ordinate safety training requirements across the business to meet legislative regulatory requirements Ensure compliance with all safe working procedures and policy requirements Develop and maintain a list of risk centres Provide effective and compliant technical advice and assistance Assist the HSQ with producing monthly and quarterly reports and trend analysis Conduct Ad-hoc projects and tasks as determined by the HSQ. Flight Data management Conduct investigations into FDAP events, accidents and incidents Provide analysis of and feedback of flight surveillance data Ensure LOSA Observers and Cabin Surveillance Observers are adequately trained to conduct surveillance duties Maintain a repository of files and records related to the Flight Surveillance Program Prepare quarterly flight surveillance and flight data analysis reports Ensure the continual improvement of the flight surveillance program, including enhancement of reporting formats and data Conduct detailed analysis of flight surveillance data, including Line Operations Safety Audits Assist in the identification of situations that may require immediate corrective action in relation to flight safety Skills and Experience Essential and Desirable Hold or have held a Pilot Licence or equivalent Hold accreditation as an Aircraft Accident Incident Investigator or equivalent Hold a quality auditor accreditation or equivalent Experience in analysis of flight data, using flight data analysis systems e.g. GE, Aerobytes, AirFase to determine trends Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment with experience in the development and facilitation of training programs Sound working understanding of current CASA regulations Experience in the utilisation of flight simulator software to recreate flight events Flight check and or training experience Understanding of Safety Management Systems and the CASA SMS Framework Investigator qualification in Safety Investigation Previous operational experience in the aviation industry in either a safety or an operational area.
