We offer a competitive salary to the right candidate with salary range starting from $59,986 up to $65,803 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.

About the role

The Catering Officer is responsible for the preparation and cooking of all meals for the visitors participating in the Centre’s various programs.

In this role, you will be required to:

  • Prepare food i.e. produce edible meals from raw materials, ensuring hygiene, quantity and quality control
  • Undertake stock control, rotating stock according to the expiry date, ordering of goods from suppliers and monitoring the quality of goods received
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen, kitchen equipment, and all the food storage rooms to ensure compliance with hygiene and food handling safety regulations
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets safety standards

    To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Ability to prepare and cook high quality meals to suit a variety of clients and their dietary requirements.
  • Experience undertaking stock control in the kitchen, order, check and monitor goods from suppliers and maintain kitchen equipment and food storage rooms in compliance with hygiene and food handling safety regulations.
  • Willingness to work on a rostered basis (hours generally range between 7am to 4.00pm or 10am to 6.30pm)
