The Role
As a Functional Consultant you will possess outstanding domain knowledge and will be responsible for the functional configuration of the organisations products and take ownership of components in the solution design.

  • Initiate and provide the best practice methodologies in regard to relating requirements and/or accounting policies to the organisations product requirements and functional configuration activities.
  • Able to apply and utilise excellent accounting principles and various elements of technical accounting.
  • Independently create functional specification as part of the functional design process.
  • Working heavily with the business to outline the accounting rules and related functional software configuration.

    • The Candidate
    The preferred candidate will possess the following skills & experience:

  • Strong leadership experience working in Finance within Financial Services
  • Worked across Product Control, Statutory & Regulatory Reporting is beneficial
  • Qualified Accountant is highly desired
  • Experience in defining and implementing Accounting Policies and rules to create journal debit and credit lines for various financial lifecycle events
  • Experience in General Ledger package configuration will be a high advantage
  • Strong technical understanding and capacity to run SQL queries for cross-examining source system and understanding more complicated queries written by developers to further help investigation
