The Special Activations Precincts (SAP) Team in the Planning and Assessment Division is currently seeking a Program Officer to be responsible for the planning and delivery of high quality, creative content that meets the needs of the community and program outcomes for key priority regional areas including Wagga Wagga, Moree, Williamtown, Snowy Mountains and Narrabri.
The Program Officer, SAP will provide advice and support to the Program Director, SAP including day to day liaison with key internal and external stakeholders on a range of community and communication issues, including developing and implementing effective engagement strategies. Working across multiple projects, this exciting role will involve plenty of variety and no two days will be the same. Engagement with various stakeholders both internal and external will also be pivotal to the success of this role.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• Strong writing skills with the ability to turn technical language into plain English
• High level of experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Understanding of relevant urban and regional planning principles
• Strong Project Management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the one time
• Knowledge of Indesign and Consultation Manager would be advantageous
• Hold a current driver’s licence and some regional travel may be required
