About the Opportunity
The MLHD New Street Service is a NSW Health child protection initiative and part of a developing network of services delivered by Local Health Districts in New South Wales. It provides counselling intervention to families of children and young people (10 – 17 years) who have sexually harmed. The program includes a specific focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. MLHD New Street Service sits within the Priority Populations Program. The program reports through to the Manager Priority Populations within the Integrated Care and Partnerships Directorate.
The Clinical Coordinator - New Street will provide operational management and clinical coordination of the New Street Service in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) including leading and maintaining the human, financial and physical resources across LHD in accordance with agreed performance indicators. The role has the responsibility for the line management of the clinical work of the senior clinician and counsellors. The Clinical Coordinator will be recognised as an expert in this field at an advanced clinical level.
The Clinical Coordinator will contribute to increasing the appropriateness and effectiveness of the New Street Services for Aboriginal communities and assist with further development of the program.
