About the Role ...



The Quality Manager is a highly valued team member who reports the General Manager - Residential Care. The position has responsibility of auditing and continuous improvement and all aspect of the Quality Management processes including ensuring a system is in place with updating review of documentation. The position is responsible for ensuring consultation with document owners and key stakeholders, tracking and finalisation and uploading to the Quality Documentation system the final approved document.



This position coordinates the auditing process functions ensuring compliance to the Aged Care Quality Standards for the variety of mandatory documentation and process including supporting the resolution of compliance of gaps.



In addition, the position maintains Quality Procedures and coordinates training on compliance across the organisation.



Key to the success of this position are strong communication and written skills, computer skills, attention to detail and a compassion for working in aged care. This position liaises with a variety of internal stakeholders in a supportive manner.



About you ...



You are a highly organised and self-motivated individual with excellent understanding of aged care, administration, computer systems and quality document systems, auditing processes - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads and ensure deadlines are met. You will have experience within aged care and quality management, high level written skills and working with large teams. You'll have a high level of skills in partnering with key personnel and supporting new team members and continuous improvement. You will also have empathy and compassion for residents and their families.



To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:



Essential skills and competencies:

Qualifications in Quality / Registration of Nursing or /and significant experience in an aged care Quality position. High level interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly and positive personality. Excellent teamwork and able to build good working relationships. Strong attention to detail and able to meet deadlines. Experience with Auditing documentation. High level of computer and documentation business writing skills including ability draft Procedure, Guidelines and templates of a high standard. Strong organisational skills. Demonstrated practice and knowledge of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care. Knowledge of requirements for successful Accreditation in the Aged Care industry A good understanding and ability to successfully comply continuously with the Aged Care Quality Standards, documentation requirements, accreditation and ACFI requirements. Drivers license and registered / insured vehicle and willingness to travel to metropolitan locations across Melbourne. Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement and OH&S Current police check and Flu Vaccination.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

Quality Assurance or Aged Care Standards training Has contributed to successfully meeting Accreditation Standards in an Aged Care home.
