What is on offer? - Newly created strategic NCIRS leadership role - Expanding program of work pivotal to the ongoing safety monitoring of Australian National Immunisation Program vaccines - Opportunity to contribute to the execution of safety monitoring for COVID-19 vaccines in Australia
Key responsibilities: - Manage and lead the expansion of the AusVaxSafety program - Relationship development and management of stakeholders, collaborators and subcontractors - Strategic program development, operational implementation and monitoring - Management of contractual requirements and ensure all requirements are met - Financial, contract and governance management for the program - Ensuring and maintaining ongoing ethics and governance approvals for the program of research under AusVaxSafety - Contribute towards global vaccine safety work, including technical assistance to support COVID-19 vaccine introductions in the Indo-Pacific Region - Provide high-level managerial andor advisory input into key NCIRS strategic projects

About NCIRS NCIRS at Kids Research, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, is the leading body in Australia working in applying research to inform immunisation policy development, best clinical practice, surveillance of vaccine preventable diseases and vaccine safety, and evaluation of immunisation services in Australia. NCIRS has national and international recognition in this arena, and is also developing initiatives to enhance technical skills in these aspects for countries in the Indo-Pacific regions.
The Centre is based within the Division of Research of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, Westmead Campus, NSW, Australia, but has an all-age research remit and is affiliated with the Discipline of Child and Adolescent Health, The Children's Hospital at Westmead Clinical School, the School of Public Health and the Marie Bashir Institute of The University of Sydney.
About AusVaxSafety AusVaxSafety is a NCIRS led national collaborative and world-leading national vaccine safety system, established in 2016 monitoring vaccine safety for all National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccines: . It encompasses a program of work that spanning from participant-based, hospital-based surveillance, clinical assessmentsinvestigations and safety analysis using linked data. The program involves collaboration between immunisation providers, private enterprise, research institutions, state and territory governments and the Australian Government Department of Health.
